1. What are the technical requirements?
- You can use a PC laptop, desktop computer, Mac, or Chromebook.
- You are required to have a solid internet connection.
- Screen Resolutions: Recommended minimum screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 (resolutions lower than the minimum will still work, but will require the user to scroll to the right or zoom out in order to see the Chat feature)
- Operating System: Windows 10 & 11; Mac OSX Sierra 10.12 or higher; Chrome OS (the most current version)
- *Important: The language of the OS on your computer must match the exam language of the exam you are taking. The default keyboard and OS language for the exams are US English. If you require a different language keyboard, please add to the Notes field when scheduling your exam.
- Supported Internet Browsers: The preferred internet browser is Chrome, Edge, and Safari (for Macs). We do not recommend Internet Explorer.
- Internet Connections Speed: A download speed of at least 5 Mbps*. Please test your internet speed: https://www.speedtest.net/.
- Firewalls and Company internet restriction policies: During the exam, you are testing on a virtual computer via the internet. If using a company computer, please confirm the internet usage policies with your IT department.
3. How do I schedule my exam?
- To schedule your exam, go to www.getcertifiedamerica.com and click the SCHEDULE NOW! link or button.
- Select the exam category
- Select the exam service: Single take voucher; Voucher w/retake; PROCTOR FEE only.
- Click Book this service
- Select your exam date and time.
- Fill out the registration page.
- Submit payment and you are done, until test day!
5. What happens if I submit multiple reschedule requests?
When exam appointments are confirmed that slot is no longer available to other testers. Multiple reschedule requests will result in the return of the proctor fee (if one was paid) and you will be required to test with a different test center.
6. What is the Exam cancellation policy?
Exam cancellation policy: You can reschedule your appointment up to 2 hours prior to the start time, without penalty. A failure to show up will result in a $35 rescheduling fee.
8. Do I need to create a Certiport account?
- You are required to have a Certiport username and password. If you have not already done so, go to www.Certiport.com and create a username and password. DO NOT create multiple Certiport accounts.
- Please note: After creating your Certiport account, if you attempt to log back in and are unsuccessful, click the “Cancel” button, then try logging in again.
9. How do vouchers work? / What do I need to know about vouchers?
- You are required to have a voucher for each exam attempt.
- The vouchers are available as a single take or voucher with a retake option. You can purchase a voucher from us or from Certiport.
**If you purchased a voucher or were provided a voucher by your school or employer, that voucher will be accepted, but you will need to pay the proctor fee. - A proctor fee is charged for each exam attempt.
- Check exam policies and voucher policies for additional information.
- A retake voucher is valid for 1 additional exam attempt. If you fail the exam a 2nd time, you must purchase a new voucher.
10. How do I assign my voucher to my Certiport account?
- To assign the voucher, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the Voucher/Code box. Paste the 16-character code, then click assign. You must be signed into your Certiport account to assign the voucher.
11. Am I allowed to use my phone during the exam?
- You are not permitted to use a smartphone or tablet for the exam.
- This is NOT an open book, open note, or search the internet for answers exam program.
12. Is a webcam required?
- Currently, you are not required to use a webcam for the Certiport exams.
- TOSA exams required the use of a webcam.
13. How long is my exam? / How many questions does my exam have?
- The number of exam questions and duration of an exam varies based on the exam and level.
- For more information on exam lengths, go to the EXAM DETAILS tab and select the desired exam.
14. What happens if I fail to show up for my exam?
Failure to show up for your exam will result in the loss of your proctor fee.
15. Do I need to do anything in preparation for my upcoming exam?
- In preparation for your upcoming exam, please have your Certiport username and password ready. Double check that information at Certiport.com.
- Your voucher must be assigned to your Certiport.com account before connecting to the test computer.

16. Do I have to install anything on my computer for the exam?

17. What is the process to start my exam?
- Your exam must start on time. You will receive an email with the URL link to connect to your assigned test computer. A proctor will be assigned to assist with starting your exam. Please cooperate with the proctor.

18. What happens prior to my exam?
- You will receive a confirmation email of your approved test date and time.
- On occasion, approved exam appointments must be changed due to system maintenance or general system technical issues. We will contact you in advance if your exam date and time are affected.
- If we must start an exam later than scheduled, you will still have your entire exam time to complete your exam.
19. What happens on the day of my exam?
- You will receive several appointment reminders. If you need to reschedule, please take the opportunity to click the Reschedule link in the reminder.
- You will receive your exam voucher with instructions to assign the voucher to your Certiport account. Assign the voucher before connecting to your exam session. This is a requirement.
- Make sure you have your Certiport username and password ready to manually type in. You cannot paste this information on the test computer.
- A proctor will be signed in and prepared to assist with unlocking and starting your exam. The Proctor does not have access to your computer.
20. What happens during my exam?
- The proctor must establish the Chat messenger is working prior to unlocking your exam.
- Please cooperate and respond to the proctor’s questions.
- If you experience technical problems, immediately bring them to the proctor’s attention.
- The proctor is not permitted to assist with answering or interpreting questions on the exam.
- Do not post random “thoughts” in the Chat. The proctor will only respond if an answer is warranted.
- If you don’t know an answer, Mark for Review and go to the next question.
- Focus on completing the exam. You can return to the question if you have time remaining.
21. What happens if you encountered technical problems during the exam?
If you encountered technical problems during the exam, you must bring it to the attention of the Proctor during the exam session. We will make every attempt to quickly resolve the technical issue during the exam session. Once the exam session is closed there is nothing, we can do regarding technical issues that may have occurred during your exam session.
22. What happens post-exam?
- At the completion of the exam, your exam score report will immediately appear on the screen.
- Once you see the score report the exam is complete and you can close the browser window.
- DO NOT download or save anything to the virtual computer.
23. How do I access my score report?
- To access the score report, sign in to your Certiport.com account. Select the ''My Transcript'' tab. If you passed the exam, your score report will be visible and ready for review and download. If you didn’t pass, uncheck the box next to “Show passed exams”. 30 minutes following the exam, you will have access to download your official PDF certificate.
- At no point will Certiport/Adobe allow you to see the individual questions and answers after the exam.
24. What is the ''Certification Badge''?
- You will receive an email with instructions on your Digital Certification Badge. The email will come from Credly. The email contains information about your Certification Badge. Create an account for access to badges that can be assigned to your letterheads, LinkedIn profile, etc.
- The Certification Badge shows that you knew it and can prove it!
25. What is the refund policy?
REFUND POLICY: Once your voucher code has been emailed to you, we are not able to issue a refund for the cost of the voucher. If you fail to show up for your exam appointment, we will not refund the proctor fee.
26. What are the exam voucher policies?
Exam voucher policies vary based on the exam, this includes information regarding failed first attempts, the duration of a retake voucher, and waiting periods for retaking the failed exam a second (2nd), third (3rd), or any subsequent time. For more information on exam voucher policies, go to the EXAM DETAILS tab and select the desired exam. Under the exam's description, you would find the exam policies.
27. What are the retake voucher policies?
- A retake voucher code will only be issued if you have purchased an "exam voucher with a retake" option.
- Retake voucher codes will only be issued if you fail the exam. If you pass the exam, a retake voucher code will not be generated or issued.
- Retake voucher codes are generated within 24 hours of failing the exam and cannot be rush processed for any reason.
- A retake voucher code will be sent to the email address on your Certiport account in addition to automatically being assigned to your Certiport account.
- The original code purchased (or the generated retake code), once redeemed, will not work for additional testing.
- The retake voucher code can only be redeemed for the exact same exam that was administered in the first failed attempt. You cannot take a different exam with a retake voucher code.
- The retake voucher code expiration time may vary from 30 to 60 days after the code is generated based on the exam. Expiration dates on retake codes cannot be extended for any reason.
28. What happens if I am caught cheating on my exam?
- Cheating attempts: The proctor will flag the exam and the exam will be stopped if they suspect that you are attempting to cheat. If we stop the exam, you will be required to take your exam at a physical Certiport test center.
- Test results found to be in violation of the retake policy will result in the candidate not being awarded the attempted credential, regardless of the score.
- This is NOT an open book, open note, or search the internet for answers exam program.
29. Where can I file a grievance?
If you are not satisfied with the exam questions, please do not express this to the Proctor. You can file a grievance by visiting: https://certiport.pearsonvue.com/Educator-resources/Exam-policies/Grievance.
